Scooter Rental Waiver Agreement
To Make Your Tulum Riding Experience Safe and Fun
Introduction: Your safety and pleasure are our top concerns at Mexigo Bike Rentals. We respectfully request that all of our clients read and sign our waiver agreement in order to guarantee that you have a safe and pleasurable experience renting a scooter in Tulum. The terms and conditions of renting a scooter from Mexigo Bike Rentals are outlined in this document, along with your obligations as a rider.
Section 1: Requirements for Renters
- Age: A valid driver’s license and a minimum age of 18 are requirements for all rentals. The waiver must be signed on your behalf by a parent or legal guardian if you are under the age of 18.
- Renters are required to have their own liability and personal injury insurance. Renters are not covered by insurance with Mexigo Bike Rentals.
- Helmets are a must for all riders. You are welcome to use your own helmet as long as it complies with safety regulations. We provide helmets at no additional cost.
Section 2: Rental Terms and Conditions
- Scooters are rented for one day (24 hours) at a time. Mexigo Bike Rentals must be notified if you want to prolong your rental time at least 24 hours before it expires. There will be additional charges for late returns.
- Payment: The entire amount must be paid when picking up the scooter. We take major credit cards as well as cash. (Card entails an additional 5% cost)
- Each scooter rented is subject to a security deposit. If the scooter is returned safely and in the same condition that it was when it was rented, the deposit will be returned.
- Cancellations: Please give us at least 48 hours’ notice if you must change or cancel your reservation. There will be a cancellation fee if the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the rental date.
- You agree to renture the scooter in working hours of the business unless agreed by a staff member. (9am – 5Pm)
Section 3: Renter Responsibilities
- Renters are in charge of properly maintaining the scooter during the rental time. This includes abiding with all manufacturer instructions and regional driving regulations.
- Renters are accountable for any loss or damage to the scooter that occurs during the rental period. The renter will be responsible for any repair or replacement charges if the scooter is damaged or lost.
- Accidents: In the event of an accident, renters are required to notify Mexigo Bike Rentals right once and to submit a written accident report that includes information about what happened, who was involved, and any witnesses.
- Renters are entirely responsible and liable for any losses, harms, or damages sustained while using the scooter. Mexigo Bike Rentals is not liable for any mishaps, harm, or losses that take place during the rental time.
